So we went yesterday. We had a disgustingly long wait to see the Dr. I had to fast as they made me do a bunch of blood tests, so I was hungry and therefore nauseous. Thankfully, my sweet heart Shawn came with me, so I wasn't in misery alone. He had just gotten off a shift and was kept awake for way too long. We went in at 8am and didn't get out of there till after 11!
Praise be to God, the baby is alive and well. This will be the last appointment for a while. I may find a dr in WA in April or May. We'll see.

Congratulations on your baby! I've lurked on your blog occasionally. If you do decide to find a doc in WA, I can highly recommend the midwives at the Univ of WA hospital. Wonderful, warm, caring group. I used them for both my children and still miss my appointments.
Sure must be exciting!!! Did you ever comment on whether or not you and Shawn are going to find out if the baby's a boy or girl?
It's also so exciting to hear you'll be going to Washington!! You going to visit Ben & Kathryrn on your way?
Also, I love the colors of your quilt... are you going to hand stipple it? It would give you something to do for the ride up to Washinton:)
Hi Kathy and Kathie.
Yes, likely we will find out. We both like to be surprised as soon as possible. Sadly St Louis isnt on the shortest route there. Looks like we may go through LA as the Eshelmans are there and we hang out with them again. The shortest route is like 40 hours of straight driving, and we have to be there fast.
I found a pretty pattern to hand quilt on to the plain block in the center. I do hope to work on it on the trip. I hope I'm not sick most of the time. I learned a accupressure point that is used to help with nausea today. I tried it, it seemed to work, we'll see!
Goodness those long waits at the doctor suck!
