hahaha

thanks for sharing!

Uh oh

I forgot to mention, today we we're driving to the Library to drop off all the borrowed material that we had in our possession. As we drove we noticed that there was tons of traffic, for the middle of the afternoon and then to our surprise our ramp to the bridge was closed. Bummer. So we drove to another one some miles down the way, it was closed too! And baricaded by a police car! Foiled again. So while exhausting one more route onto that bridge, while waiting in another long line of cars, Shawn and I looked up to the ramps to see what was to be seen. Alas, here it is link Woah huh? I guess it happened last night. That could have been really disastrous, thank God for his preservation! Oh, so we went the longest way, over another bridge.

Tomorrow!

haha, the home of the tub race? click up there to see.

So, all the bags are packed, house is clean, sorta. The fridge is near empty, and the trash is out. I think we're ready. I packed 2 extra bags into our luggage so we can shuffle our stuff into them and allow the books that have been waiting, to come home at last in the biggest suitcases. Yay for Shawn. Where the crap am I going to put them???

And so hmm, I have so many fun plans. I wanna take the girls to the Lush store while we're there. So many cool naturalish cosmetics and things! I must say they have THE best deo that I have ever experienced. I want this one.

I think we'll go to VV Boutique as well, maybe get Jody a little something for her bday.

Ok, so thats all the fun I have planned, I guess. I do have to leave some time for spontaneity, you know.

So we were looking after the H's house while they were on vacation, so they wanted us to eat their perishables in the fridge, lest they perish. So since they had some whipping cream and I hadnt found a use for it yet, and due to the fact that it will perish in our fridge, I managed to make myself a cappichino, of sorts. It turned out pretty good, considering that I dont have a maker or anything.

My hand has been hurting all evening. It seems to be a vein issue, the one on the back of the hand that runs from the index knuckle to the lower thumb bone. Ouch. Any ideas?

I miss my mom.

Today, I guess

Today was another good day.

I decided to hem some linen pants that Jen gave me, I think they were made for a six footer, they were still dragging on the floor with my highest heels on. Which was kind of relieving, I dont want to wear heels unless I have to. So anyway, I pinned up one leg and then I decided it was too hot in here to sew.

I think I'm gonna start a business making and selling dresses. Hopefully I'll still want to after I get back from vacation. I'm gonna try to colaborate with Jody a bit while I'm there tho, she has way more creative juices in her brain than I do. I've made one baby dress thus far, you can see it here, modeled by one of my lovely nieces. I figure, after consulting with some ladies that would know, that I'll charge something like $10-$15, depending on the style and whether or not bloomers are included.

Shawn and I watched part one of David Copperfield last night. It's pretty entertaining, I'm looking forward to seeing part two tonight. Hopefully Shawn wont get out too late. We do have an appointment in the am, so we cant been too irresponsible with bedtime.

I was reading Luke 4 today in my private worship. I think it's pretty cool how in v20-30 Christ gives a testimony to limited antonement, another way of saying to the pharisees "you're not my sheep" and they sure were ticked off.

ho hum

Pretty dumb, but funny dog.

Today is all in all a pretty good day. I've been fairly productive, laundry, bills, and some more stuff.

Shawn and I did a part of lesson 4 in his greek book. It's been pretty fun working on it together. We go out to the East Greenbush Library and make studying a formal event, we usually have something to return anyway.

We're leaving for Edmonton on Friday. Woah, time flys. I pray it will be a good time for all, and that our trip to PG will be good as well. I'm so looking forward to meeting Amos. :D

I gotta go read something.

This is the day that the Lord has made...

Its been a good Lord's day. I am so blessed. Today we heard a sermon on Ecc 3:3 "a time to heal" it was really good, check it out .

We stopped by the Hacklers new place on the way home. Its in a nice location and has tons of space, inside and out, definitely an answer to prayer.

When I got home I picked up a little book I've been going through on Family Worship. It's such an important time for families, spouses, and children. I like the writer's point in saying that children will be encouraged to have a relationship with God by their parents praying daily in family worship, specifically for them and their needs, but especially their spiritual needs.

I fell asleep for about an hour this evening, we stayed up way too late on Saturday night and I was feeling it this pm.

Yay, it's after 11, Shawn should be home soon!

Another blog.

Tonight its pretty lonesome around here, a little scary even, I'm the only one in this building cept for the highest floor, there are a couple of guys that live up there. I went to get the laundry from the back room tonight, and the instant I opened my door, which leads to the hallway, the humidity hit my face, I thought it odd while walking down the hall and then I saw the back window was cracked open some inches. I didnt know whether to be afraid, or bold. I chose bold, well, relatively bold. I flicked on the light, as if to startle any intruder, and not seeing one, I went and pushed down on the window with all my might, slamming it shut. It would seem that someone tried to break in, without breaking anything, giving up because the window wouldnt budge any further. The humidity wreaks havock on the windows and doors around here in the summer, they're all swolen. As for the windows in my apartment, they all have bars, yay! Anyway, I am not afraid, just cautious, ya.
