So, the good is that the blankie is finished! And the bad is that it's rather long and rectangular, and not so almost squarish. I am kind of disappointed in myself. Toward the end (why not sooner??) I realized that it would likely be a bit too long/wide, but alas, I didn't know the extent of it. I should have measured and then laid out the tape to realize the length, as I couldn't just eyeball it, as it was always gathered on my circular needle. Plus the lower end is the narrower end, by a bit. Ah well, this was certainly a learning experience for me. No more twisted stitches. I think part of my main problem is that I should have taken out the twisted ones, as they were much tighter than the normal stitches. It's so soft and nice, it would make a great heavy shawl. And it will work just fine for the baby, I hope. The color in the photos is terrible, I used my flash, it's dark here.

It's not too late!! I've heard of ppl frogging (unraveling)their knitting from the beginning and knitting in the opposite direction. You could just take out the twisted stitches part and reknit the border on that side. Want me to see if I can find a tutorial for it? If not I wouldn't worry to much about. Jord tells my overly picky knitter self that flaws make it homemade or we should just buy it from the store. ..Though I'd still prefer perfection. :D
Yes please help!

I am just going to "block it" and see if I can amend the shape slightly, and then I will ship it off. Amanda, do please send me your new mailing address via email. I don't think I have it. -tam not shawn
The blanket looks great in my opinion....and I've seen it in person, although not all stretched out, I guess.
